Wild Ginger Pinot Noir by Windy Bay Cellars

A Full Circle Wine Moment…

We are so excited to introduce Wild Ginger NOIR! Made by Sarah Cabot – winemaker at Windy Bay Cellars and, believe it or not, a previous Wild Ginger employee.

Sarah says “It was working in restaurants with deliciously extensive wine lists like Wild Ginger where my interest in the world of wine first developed, and it was the lead sommelier at Wild Ginger while I worked there who first suggested to me that I go back to school for wine production. Now, after 14 years and 16 harvests producing Pinot Noir in some of the world’s greatest wine regions alongside some of the world’s greatest producers, it feels tremendously serendipitous to find myself producing a Pinot Noir for the very restaurant where my journey down the path of wine production first began. I make the Pinot Noir, as I do with all of my wines, to be a transparent expression of the beautiful Oregon wine region as well as a lively and suitable pairing for the diverse menu offerings at Wild Ginger.”

We invite you to try the new Wild Ginger NOIR by Windy Bay Cellars at any of our locations (Wild Ginger Downtown Seattle, Wild Ginger Bellevue, Wild Ginger McKenzie - South Lake Union, or The Triple Door). Wild Ginger Wine Director Jason Smith says he enjoys it best with our Hanoi Tuna, if you’re trying to decide what dish to pair it with. Tasting notes are below.
